Specialised contact lens fittings

At De Smedt Optometrists, we know that one size does not fit all when it comes to contact lenses.

If you have had trouble wearing contact lenses comfortably or have been told that you are not a good candidate for contact lenses, we would be happy to help you find the right style that suits you.

Our optometrist will assess your eyes to ensure they are healthy and measure your prescription to determine what type of lenses may be best. They will also find out if there are any additional features your contact lenses should have or if you need speciality lenses.

At De Smedt Optometrists, we offer specialised contact lens fittings. We fit soft, disposable lenses and rigid gas permeable and scleral lenses for people with irregular corneas.

This means that we can fit contact lenses for people who struggle with keratoconus, high astigmatism, post-refractive surgery, and any other complex conditions.
